With a simple trace command, you can easily verify any IP address and its location for any website. First and foremost, we must find the IP address of a given website using the command line and then use an online platform to get the IP location. This can be done on all operating systems but we're going to use Windows 10 for this tutorial.
On Windows machine, open the command prompt by typing in cmd into the search menu or press windows key + R to open the run utility and type in cmd.
We'll use Google as the example site we want to find it's IP and location (www.google.com). , Type in tracert www.google.com in the command line interface and press enter.
After pressing Enter on your keyboard, you'll notice all the various routing locations for the website (www.google.com), as well as the IP address of the website.
There are various sources for finding the location of an IP address, in our case we'll use IP-adress for this tutorial. Go to that address, than scroll down to the input box and enter the IP address and hit the "Track IP, host, or website" button.
Note that you can skip the command prompt steps and just type in the URL for the site you want the location and IP address.
The information below shows the website details and a map of the exact location.
